After about 3 weeks of beta testing, things are going even better than we expected. We started the beta testing round with a few outstanding issues to solve and some others appeared during the testing process but thanks to the hard work of the core team and some outstanding collaborators, things are proceeding very well.

We promised that right about this time we would start offering packages of the beta version for those of you with no access to our Subversion repository but we will delay that for about a week or so. There is one last issue that we need to solve concerning the installer script, which seems to need a lot more processing time than we expected when upgrading the table which contains article information. We are going to make the necessary changes so that the upgrade is undertaken in different automatic steps and hopefully that will prevent the script from timing out. There are no other major concerns or problems at the moment and the release has been quite stable so far in all the environments where it has been used.
