pLog now called LifeType

The formerly known as pLog project has decided to get a facelift including a new name, new image and new logo. This facelift is related to the project's cooperation with Amazon, current owners of the "plog" trademark in the United States. On behalf of the project, we would like to thank Amazon for their collaboration and help. Other companies would have chosen to sue but instead Amazon decided to cooperate and had a lot of patience with us.

The main steps of the transition process are ready, including the revamped project site, but others will take a while to be completed. There will be a few links here and there pointing to the old project page, inaccuracies in the new texts and so forth. We will keep ironing out these little issues as we find them, but please drop us an email to any of our contact addresses if you find anything.

For those of you wishing to migrate your sites, LifeType 1.0.2 will be released shortly and it will be a completely rebranded version of pLog. Additionally, the project will release a set of packages including new buttons and logos that you may you use in your sites and that should replace all buttons and logos. We strongly recommend that you replace all your links pointing to plogworld.net with links pointing to LifeType.net, as the old domain will not be valid anymore within a few months.

Please do not hesitate to leave us your feedback and comments.

The LifeType team.

Gl

  7. Comment What does Amazon have to do with pLog?

Nothing to do with us, but they use the same name for their new blogging service.

  8. Comment LifeType is also a trademark of another company

LifeType is also a trademark of another company. It was not professional to choose the name plog, but shit can happen if you haven't research. And now you continue this way of being a newbie: Using the next name, which is also a trademark of another company.
